We had a strong finish to the first full week of classes on Friday as we followed math class with a visit to Great Falls National Historic Park to see the second largest waterfall east of the Mississippi. After a stop for lunch, we had the privilege to meet with Assemblywoman Lisa Swain, who shared what called her to public service and the role she plays in state government. Lisa also discussed how she manages her time and remains an elite nationally ranked endurance athlete - so many valuable takeaways.- thank you Ms Swain. This enrichment fit so nicely into our lessons this week on the incorporation of Paterson, the role the falls played in the development of manufacturing, and also the framework of state and local governments.
