Prep students were privileged to have a workshop with North Jersey’s premier sports journalist, Darren Cooper. Darren shared his #pathlesstraveled growing up in LA with a love of sports, attending LSU, relocating to this area to help a close friend, and on to establishing himself as a respected, award winning journalist with a massive social media presence well known to all area sports fans. We had many takeaways - colorful stories and activities on how to ask and answer interview questions, the state of high school sports, what it takes to be a journalist, and more hot takes. Students will be creating their own hot takes (In FlipGrid) and sending them to Darren for his review.
